Facebook has been focusing on beefing up security lately. Last month, it began rolling out a new feature that lets users view all active sessions on their FB account, even allowing them to log out remotely. It is now launching one-time passwords as part of the ongoing security drive. Temporary passwords are a welcome addition and will surely provide an added sense of security to those used to accessing Facebook from public computers.

“Simply text “otp” to 32665 on your mobile phone, and you’ll immediately receive a password that can be used only once and expires in 20 minutes. In order to access this feature, you’ll need a mobile phone number in your account. We’re rolling this out gradually, and it should be available to everyone in the coming weeks,” the company said on its blog.
