Fujitsu’s T580 Tablet PC “Slate Beater” Goes Up for Sale

Fujitsu once advertised its Lifebook T580 Tablet PC as a “slate beater,” and now’s their chance to prove it. At long last, the device is available for order via Fujitsu’s online store.

Pricing starts at $1,150 and includes:

  • Intel Core i3 380UM processor
  • 10.1-inch HD WXGA capacitive multi-touchscreen
  • 2GB of DDR3 memory
  • 160GB hard drive
  • Wireless-N, Bluetooth
  • Integrated webcam
  • Windows 7 Professional.

For $1,400, Fujitsu bumps up the processor to an Intel Core i5 560UM. Either way, you won’t find a wimpy Atom chip inside, which pushes this past “glorified netbook” territory.
