All-in-one (AIO) desktops are fast becoming all the rage, and Gateway is well aware of their growing popularity. But don’t take our word for it, straight from the horse’s mouth:

“The demand fo all-in-one desktop PCs took off last year with the introduction of Windows 7 and its touch screen capabilities, and as the technology became more powerful and less expensive,” said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops, Acer America.

That’s not a typo, Acer owns Gateway. But back to the point, Gateway today announced a couple of new additions to its existing ZX One series, the 21.5-inch Gateway One ZX4951 ($900) and 23-inch ZX6951 ($1,000). Both models sport a new look with a curved bottom edge and glossy black bezel with chrome and silver accents.

From a feature standpoint, the ZX4951 comes with an Intel Pentium G6950 processor (2.8GHz), 4GB of DDR3 memory, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray drive, Intel HD graphics, Wireless-N, and the typical assortment of ports and amenities. For $100 more, the ZX6951 bumps the processor to an Intel Core i3 550 (3.2GHz) and increases the HDD to 640GB.

Both models are available now.
