Hitachi can now add its name to the list of hard drive makers kicking out 3TB HDDs with the introduction of not one, but three new high capacity drives/bundles.

First up is the Hitachi’s Deskstar Internal Hard Drive Kit. This includes a 3TB 7K3000 hard drive spinning at 7,200RPM, mounting screws, step-by-step instructions, and a software download that allows both 32-bit and 64-bit OSes to take advantage of the new drive.

Hitachi also released its XL Desktop External Drive for backup on the go, however you’ll have to make do with a USB 2.0 interface instead of the much sexier SuperSpeed spec.

Finally, you can pick up the 3TB Deskstar 7K3000 and 5K3000 family of drives by themselves, both of which ship in 3TB, 2TB, and 1.5TB capacities.
